Swastika Khachqar
Khachqar, 11th century, Sanahin, Armenia.
Khachqar (Khach is cross, qar is stone) with typical Armenian motifs: solar symbols, swastikas, tree of life and knots. There is also "8", the worship of 8 is quite popular in Armenia. One can find swastikas all over in Armenia, even in all monasteries and churches. These old pre-christian symbols were and are part of Armenian identity.
