Swastika Mattie Beal
The Historic Mattie Beal Home is a 3,580 square foot, 14 room mansion constructed in 1907-1909. It sits on a portion of the 160 acre allotment selected by Mattie Beal, the young woman whose name was drawn second in the Lawton District of the Kiowa-Comanche-Apache Land Lottery of 1901, opening lands in Oklahoma Territory for settlement. The home has many unique architectural features include semi-circular entry and front door with beveled glass and circular design elements, massive Corinthian columns, grand staircase, solid slab Italian marble mantel, and a captivating colorful stained glass window that was designed and hand-crafted to depict the rolling hills of the nearby Wichita Mountains. The home stands as a rare example of residential art deco architecture in southwest Oklahoma, reflecting the proud heritage of Lawton's early pioneers. Foto: Brooke

Swastika Tshirt
This message is from Shannon Larrat founder of BME. My first BME shirt in a half decade (bet you weren't expecting this)... Since we had a whack of unexpected bills from our daughter’s gastrointestinal problems — seriously it is shocking and offensive how quickly medical bills climb in the US — which we are still in the process of diagnosing and could be anything from a motorcycle injury to kidney failure to something related to my genetic condition. Rachel suggested that I draw a shirt for BME, the sales proceeds of which would go exclusively to those medical bills. She has set up the pricing similarly to my shop, where you can set how much you want to pay, either just buying the shirt, or a donation if you’re able. http://shop.bme.com/product/2012-classic-logo/ * There are actually three slightly different designs there, check it out. **PLEASE PASS THIS ON ANYWHERE YOU THINK IT MIGHT HELP** http://shop.bme.com/product/2012-classic-logo/

Swastika Anahit
Goddess Anahit. Anahit (Anahit) (in Անահիտ) - in Armenian mythology, the goddess-mother, the goddess of fertility and love, a daughter (or wife) Aramazd. The cult of the Persian goddess Anahit Ardvisura spread in Armenia in the I century BC - III BC during the propagation of Zoroastrianism in Armenia and the Hellenistic culture. Although that was a fertility goddess Anahit, Armenia, in contrast to the Persian cult of Anahit, according to some researchers, was not associated with water. Anahit was known by the epithet "Great Queen", "Zlatorozhdennaya", "Golden mother." Golden statue of the goddess stood in the main temple of Erez (otherwise Erznka - modern Erzincan) on the banks of the river Aratsani. Anahit was considered a major goddess in ancient state, protector of the Armenian kings. So the king Tiridates I praised the "noble Lady Anahit, the mother of knowledge, the daughter of the great and almighty Aramazd." Golden statue dedicated to Anahit, were in the churches throughout Armenia. In Satale was found made of bronze head, which resembles the Greek Aphrodite, which is considered to belong to the statue of Anahit. According to one of the oldest sources of all the statues in the Armenian Anahit were made by Greek craftsmen. Following the adoption of Christianity in Armenia under King Tiridates III, all images Anahit throughout Armenia were destroyed. According Khorenatsi, Anahit to seek help in case of illness. Swastika Maharani
Photograph of the Maharani of Sikkim from the 'Wheeler Collection: Portraits of Indian Rulers,' was taken possibly by Johnston and Hoffmann c.1900. Stephen Wheeler, the donor of the collection, was presumably related to J. Talboys Wheeler, organiser of the 1877 durbar and author of 'The History of the Imperial Assemblage at Delhi' (London, [1877]). Full-length seated portrait of the Maharani of Sikkim, wife of Maharaja Thotab Namgue and stepmother of Maharaj Kumar Sidkyong Tulku. This photograph was possibly taken by John Claude White, c.1900 and marketed by Johnston & Hoffmann. The Maharaja of Sikkam's family originated from Lhasa in Tibet and settled in Sikkim in the mid 17th century. Puntso Namgye, the head of the family, was sent three Tibetan monks (professors of Myingmapa- the 'red cap' sect) to convert Lepchas of Sikkim to to their sect of Buddhism. The descendants of Puntso Namgye became the Raja's of Sikkim.
