Swastika Sacred Rites
Foto by Angela Coles.
She explain what happens here like this:
Part of the rituel of stringing the sacred tree. This lady has left her hair loose for the occasion, unusual. Swastika, a prayer, is found in Mesopotamia, Babylonia, Ancient Greece and even in Neolithic times. It is the most auspicious symbol in Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism. swasti = the well-being of one and all, ka =symbol. Meaning lucky. For every holy occasion, swastika is drawn, or painted, carved or sculpted at the place of worship.
