I spoon spicy pickle goop on my plain rice to make it more interesting. Never noticed until today that one of my favorites has a swastika on the label. I realize the swastika is an Indo-European symbol dating back to neolithic times, and as a Buddhist symbol is probably appropriate for vegetarian pickles, yet sometimes a symbol or word ("gay", for example) has been so hopelessly co-opted that the first meaning you think of is not the original one.
